Well of course I'm bloody tired

But that's my choice.

Yeah?

And while we're on the subject, I'm going to get a tattoo.

Yes I'm intrigued too. I'm considering my fifth at the moment.

Ooh, marmite, I might need some advice. I'm thinking inside upper arm, near the crook of the elbow. Maybe a star. Maybe a sun. Simple as possible. Just outline. Small. Can't have below waist because of circulation issues.

I have super high pain threshold and don't care about needles (that's crippledom for you) but am genuinely worried about the whole startle reflex thing.

If I was an artist, I guess you could declare the resulting Jackson Pollockness on my skin disability art, but it wouldn't amuse me much.

Oh and the other thing is I lose and gain weight fast and regularly. I burn loads when I am very active and pile loads on when I'm not, and I can be sedantary for weeks and then very active for a few.

What I really don't want is a stretched tattoo...

... Is there any kind of expert who knows about tattooing cripples?

Young Master Marmite has been forcibly separated from his interwebnet connection for a short while.

Lady Bracknell is confident that he will be able to assist Ms Katie with her enquiries, and will hint to him forthwith that his expertise on this issue is being sought.

Hi Katie,

The best thing to do is seek out the tattoo parlours ( I can't believe they actually call them that) in the Brighton area and I'm sure there are loads and go and chat to them. Ask to see their work and discuss with them about the startle reflex issue. I think it is so important to choose someone who has a good reputation. I've seen too many people with crap tattoos.

I reckon you'll be okay with the stretching issues too, but again it is always a good idea to chat about this kind of thing with the artist. They tattoo kinds of people and they would be able to reassure you. It's a good job your pain threshold is high because where you are considering having it done is going to be sore. One of the top places to feel the pain so I'm told. Along with the back of the calf and across the top of the spine. Where I've got mine. Doh!!!

Anyway good luck with it and let us all know how you got on.

Thanks marmite. Really, thanks

The jury's out. I'll let you know when there's progress.

Might Ms Katie be good enough to contact Lady Bracknell via the email address which can be found on her blog profile?

Lady Bracknell has something in the nature of an invitation to put to Ms Katie, but she would prefer not to do so in the full public glare of the blogosphere.

I really want a tattoo also. I'm thinking of getting a picture of 'the little prince' on the side of my calf above my ankle. I adore the little prince
